Conversation and Pronunciation
Business and social settings are challenging enough without the additional difficulties encountered by non-native speakers.
This course takes a practical approach to preparing participants for conversational settings. We focus on the likely topics of discussion, related vocabulary, style of speech and pronunciation. Through role play, participants gain social skills while uncovering the social traps that may be present.
Over the course of twelve weekly two-hour classes we will cover the following topics with time and effort per topic adjusted according to the needs of the group.
- Intonation, stress & rhythm
- Word tone & value
- Adjusting volume & speed
- Listening skills
- Anchoring vocabulary
- Formula language
- Conversation techniques

Our Clients Say...
I knew I had an accent, but wasn’t aware of what the problems were so I didn’t have any idea how to correct them. It was very embarrassing when native speakers didn’t understand my oral English. I just wanted people to understand me!
