New Corporate Coaching Programs for Immigrants will Benefit Companies in 2010
Toronto, ON | December 24, 2009 — Voice to Word Consulting Inc. has redesigned its customized communications training program for internationally-trained professionals in order to give corporate clients greater support over longer time.
Heather Chetwynd, the director of Voice to Word, has been refining the already successful program over the past year. The new corporate coaching programs, which offer one-on-one training to refine all aspects of English communication skills, will be launched in January 2010.
The biggest boon for corporate clients is the new program’s ongoing support. The addition of assessments and reports allows company managers to measure progress and success.
“Our experience showed us that clients benefit from gradually decreasing support over a period of time. This gives them time to develop greater awareness and clarify any remaining issues. It really helps to boost their confidence.” Heather Chetwynd, Director, Voice to Word Consulting Inc.
The new program now offers longer classes, which give instructors and clients more time to deal with a wider range of communication and accent-reduction issues.
The revamped corporate program consists of four streams. The different streams address the needs of various clients, from the Touch-Up Program (for those who only need fine-tuning) to the In-Depth Program (for those who need more considerable training).
The number of coaching sessions range from 10 to 35 classes, according to stream.
Voice to Word’s director says the core idea behind such programs is simple: as Canadian companies are increasingly staffed by non-native professionals, corporate coaching programs like these improve profitability, create a confident workforce, improve customer service and attract high-level immigrant professionals.
“We’re so happy to see how many companies are beginning to invest in their immigrant employees. With confidence and clear communication skills, these employees are an incredible asset. They are highly trained and skilled, and they are committed and motivated to work hard and excel. What more could an employer ask for?” Heather Chetwynd, Director, Voice to Word Consulting Inc.
