Heather ChetwyndHEATHER CHETWYND helps internationally educated professionals reach their full potential by fine-tuning their language abilities. With a specialty in accent modification and intercultural communication, she helps her clients develop confidence in the Canadian business environment and communicate more effectively.

Drawing on 35 years of experience in the field of adult education, culture and English as a Second Language (ESL), Heather’s experience includes teaching and assessing all levels and subjects of ESL, leading professional development seminars and developing educational materials. Concurrently with training at Voice to Word, she was a professor of Canadian Workplace Culture at Sheridan College Institute of Applied Technology and Advanced Learning for close to 10 years. She has taught extensively in community programs, post-secondary ESL, business ESL and private tutoring and has worked both nationally and internationally. Over the years, she has trained students from all over the world with a wide variety of linguistic and cultural backgrounds.

With ESL certification from the University of Toronto and TESL Ontario, along with a Masters degree from York University in voice, culture and education, Heather’s training includes courses in adult education, second language acquisition, English pronunciation, inter-cultural communication, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), voice and music.

Heather learned Spanish as an adult, a process through which she developed an intuitive understanding of the complexity of second-language learning. By drawing on this combination of education and experience in various aspects of voice, ESL, adult education and culture, Heather has developed expertise in the area of communication and learning, and is able to take a global approach to language assessment and training, inter-cultural communications and materials development.

Mark Prince

Mark Prince works with professionals from all industries helping to unlock their potential in speaking skills for a broad range of purposes. His experience includes training clients to strengthen their communication skills, creating impact and influence, improving voice and speech delivery and refining their accent.

Mark trained as an actor, studying with some of the industry’s top voice and text coaches. He incorporates his expertise in voice and text delivery with a variety of language and communication skills and, in doing so, his clients benefit from skill sets that include all aspects of voice and speech delivery.

With a strong background in both professional theatre and business learning, Mark combines acting with experiential learning in business training and corporate coaching. Mark has over 15 years of experience facilitating one-on-one coaching and group training aimed at developing skills in corporate leadership, management, small business development and customer service as well as accent modification, voice coaching and interpersonal skills.

Mark is a graduate of the Teaching and Training Program (George Brown College), holds an honours degree in Theatre (University of Windsor.), and is TEFL certified. In addition, he trained as a member of the Acting Company and Young Company at the Stratford Festival of Canada for two seasons.
